I mean Im all for women empowerment and all that shit, but seriously…
First of all, no woman that looks like Beyonce is getting treated like that…
Second of all, that shit goes both ways…
Third of all, goodness gracious I forgot how HOT Beyonce was…

So the project Im working on in school happens to be the Ed Bacon Rebuild and Revive competition…
and its going well but I forgot to register for the competition. No big deal. That has no affect on my grade for class, but it would have been nice to enter my project to the competition. Not that I was going to win, probably not, but it would have been cool to say i did. Ehhhh… fuck me and my clumsiness…
We have about 2 more weeks to finish the project…
I like where im going with my idea…
The simple structure above is just scratching the surface of what i ave planned…
Ill post the rest here after my review…

“I wonder if I’ve been changed in the night? Let me think. Was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I’m not the same, the next question is ‘Who in the world am I?’ Ah, that’s the great puzzle!”

School stress… I dont even have to talk about it right? Anyway, shitload of work that I have to get done… I just need to make it to October 31st then I’ll be fine… Last night my friend sent me a text about how she was one foot away from Nas and Kelis… she was working a event for her internship at Cornerstone/Fader in collab with Smirnoff… Then just the other day my friend was telling me all about the a concert he went to with Slick Rick, KRS, and the aforementioned Nas… not to mention my lil sis enjoying her college life in Korea… seems like Im the only one stressing and shit…
but anyway lets take a intermission…
I remember all you had to do to get a girl hot is to tell her you listened to Craig David… was that just on my block???
Gabe Bondac definitely is THAT dude…
The way you laugh with your mouth closed
The way you smile so your eyes glow
It’s in the way you look at me to help me see
.. just who I am inside
The way my heart doesnt listen
and so it just keeps wishing..
wishing you were close to me so that its beat was
.. synchronized with yours
You’re the one, you’re the one for me.. sugar.
You’re my hero and my best friend
and girl I swear that you’re a Godsend
Lovely as a ray of sun.. the very first one
.. just as the day begins
So I got a round trip ticket
but i dont wanna take it.
I only wanna take half
.. and give the other half to somebody who wont waste it.
You’re the one, you’re the one for me..
Your hand and mine fit perfectly fine
.. and sway below our waists at the perfect height
Faithful and true
to Him and to you..
I will stay forever this way because..
You’re the one, you’re the one for me.

This week was the start of the Pusan International Film Festival in South Korea. The film festival is really getting notoriety from the international film community because of Korean films wining awards at other film festivals [Cannes, Berlin, etc...] and all the Korean films being remade by Hollywood, which they subsequently FUCK UP… But getting back on topic my wifey, Jeong Ryeo-Won graced the film festival with her presence, where she looked ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGLY FABULOUS. And that is despite the fact she has the highly contagious Korean disease called “oh-i-need-to-lose-weight-because-im-fat-even-though-i-weigh-only-25-pounds”. But seriously she needs to eat more. She is becoming a stick…

Since “The Cool” dropped I really havent been on any Lupe shit. Its probably because I dont go on any hip hop blogs anymore. Its just full of stupid shit that Im not into. I heard Jeezy’s new album. I actually liked kinda like it and its getting some of play. Still havent took the time to listen to “LAX”…. I heard “Paper Trail” thought it was ok… But seriously Im starting to question my hip hop fandom… If it wasnt for Lupe, Nas, and Kanye I dont think I would even really listen to hip hop. But getting back on topic, I know Im late on this remix but I spazzed when I heard it. Shit is fire and that says alot since I cant stand Pharrell AT ALL.
And then I saw this:
Which made me go to my Itunes library and listen to the “Superstar” remix like a thousand times. Got to admit, T.I. spit a heavy verse on that…
And then I spent the whole day listening to my favorite albums by artists not named Nas, Lupe, or Kanye…
I never was into hip hop groups. Never got into Wu-Tang, ATCQ, or the Roots. I mean I listen to all of them but not consistently. But I love De La Soul and “The Grind Date” is my favorite album from them. I probably listened to this album about 50 times through. No tracks that need to be skipped. And how good is “Come on Down” where Flava Flav yells like a mad man. Call me crazy but I love that track.
Ok so the major reason I like this album is because of Ye’s production. I have the instrumental version that I listen to all the time. But this is my favorite Common album and “Love Is” is my favorite Common song of all time, “6th Sense” notwithstanding… Common and Kanye have amazing chemistry; his flow matches Ye’s beats so perfectly its scary…
I thought Blu would be the next Nas… I mean “The World Is…(Below the Heavens)” is probably one of the greatest songs of ALL time to me… His next project with C.R.A.C. Knuckles wasnt that great… but this album is one of the best of all time… Blu needs to drop another album real soon… this cat has unlimited potential…
I have no idea why I like this album so much, I cant explain. I really dont like Guru’s flow, its kinda dull. The interludes piss me the fuck off and takes away from the album to me. But I keep on listening to it. I guess Premo’s amazing production and Guru’s lyrics carry this album. I mean if you told me name my favorite albums I would NEVER have said ‘Moment of Truth’… But when I look at my playcount and just think back on what hip hop albums I listen to this album is among the top. I guess Im hooked on it subconsciously… *shrugs*
wtf was this post about???
oh yea, lupe…
Im back on my Lupe stannery again…
not that I was never off it, just took a break from it…
“LupEND”, cant wait…

Today me and a few of my friends went over to NYC for an unveiling of the winners of a competition held by Storefront for Architecture. The competition was basically to re-design the White House, theoretically of course. In my Design class we are participating in the Ed Bacon ReBuild and Revive Student Competition, so that coupled with the fact one of our professor’s submission made the gallery, a bunch of us decided to go. I mean it might be a source of inspiration and hopefully we would be able to see some cool and innovative designs. But surprisingly most of the work wasnt that great. Maybe because the works had to speak for themselves and most of the submissions had little text explaining anything. I was disappointed. Even worse there was a huge crowd that showed up but most of the people were just there for the bar and just ended up socializing in front of the gallery. WTF, go to a fucking bar for pete’s sake. That really pissed me off. I mean at first, I didnt think it was so bad cause I thought: hey if I worked really hard on a project and it made it to a gallery I want to relish in the reward and have a few drinks with friends watching other people look at my work. Right? Ummm, but it turns out that most of those people werent the designers of any of the works. They were just gossipy bitches that came for a excuse to dress up and an excuse to drink. A group of woman in front of me were standing right in front of some works talking about what they ate last night and how sad they were for not being able to fit into a size 2 anymore. They couldnt give a shit about any of the projects. Because of the douchebags that only came for alcohol I couldnt get to spend that much time inside the gallery. And on top of that I scuffed my grey hightop Dunks. Yea, I was tight.

All causes and all effects.
Don’t call it shit,
Necessary to acknowledge it.
Some call it LOVE and some call it SEX,
Call it what you want,
But with one touch and you’re gone.
So call in sick,
With human politics
From whispered hushes and distant crushes.
Breaking pencil tips and ink & brushes.
God makes man and this is the devil’s finishing touches.
From dukes to duchesses,
And kings to queens.
From dust to dust this is the sinful theme.
The scene for crack fiends and gun-packing teens.
Vaccines, magazines and saccharine.
