I love qoutables.
I love typography.
Which means I love this piece by Andy Mangold.
I had to crop out the pictures ’cause my html coding restricts certain picture size, so definitely go to his site to view the full pics.

Ironically this project was to showcase a new font/typeface, Clarendon, but the writing in the journals overshadows any of that. I dont know for sure if that was the true intention, only the artist can truly know that, but sometimes the final product is not the embodiment of your original ambitions, but is still provocative and ingenious nonetheless. The final product is what the public is only seeing, but like the “tip of the iceberg” cliche, there was a long generated process that no one else knows but the artist and the fact that you can accomplish something that you never intended is sometimes the most gratifying experience. Now this may not be the case with this specific project, but its something that has been on my mind for a while and seeing this work today just reminded me even more of it.

Just because you didn’t do what you set out to do, that fact does not discount your effort. In fact it may be for the better.

But I digress,
Andy Mangold has some cool stuff.
